Adrian Secker graduated from Otago Medical School in 1987, and after surgical training in Christchurch gained fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1996. Following two years of post-fellowship colorectal training in the UK he has been a General Surgeon in Nelson in both public and private practice since 1998.
His special interest areas within general surgery include:

Management of benign anorectal conditions including haemorrhoids, anal fissure and fistula
Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy
Management of abdominal hernia
General surgical conditions of childhood including hernia, hydrocoele and undescended testicle
Surgical treatment of gallstone disease
